Have an idea?
Unusual ideas welcome. Unnecessary paperwork discouraged.
We consider original science fiction, satire, absurdist comedy, dystopian and speculative fiction, short stories, novellas, novels and experimental collaborations. First-time, established, anonymous and pseudonymous writers are welcome.
What to prepare
- A working title and synopsis of approximately 200–500 words.
- The first three chapters or about 5,000 words, whichever is shorter.
- Approximate total word count, intended readership and whether the manuscript is complete.
- A readable Word (.docx) or PDF document.
- Disclosure of substantial AI-generated material, co-authors, previous publication and any existing rights commitments.
Please do not send a full manuscript unless requested.
Rights and copyright
You must own or control the rights necessary to submit the work, including permissions for third-party material. In the UK, copyright generally arises automatically in qualifying original work; retain dated drafts and records of authorship.
Submitting work does not transfer copyright or grant publication rights. Publication requires a separate written agreement. We will not publish or commercially exploit your submitted manuscript without one.
Publication and payments
Our initial programme is Kindle-only. For accepted work, the publishing licence, exclusivity, term, termination, payment schedule and each party's share of Amazon royalties received will be defined in writing. Any permitted deductions must be disclosed and agreed in advance. We do not charge reading fees.
Identity, editorial standards and responses
Authors may request a pen name or anonymous public credit, but contracted writers must disclose their legal identity privately for contracts and payments. Confidentiality is subject to applicable law.
We welcome controversial ideas but may decline work that is unlawful, defamatory, plagiarised, rights-infringing or otherwise unsuitable. Acceptance is discretionary and does not imply endorsement of every view expressed in fiction.
We are a small publisher and cannot guarantee individual feedback or a response to every submission. Please avoid repeated enquiries and revised submissions unless requested.
Not yet accepting manuscripts
A dedicated submission email address will appear here when submissions open. Until then, please keep your manuscript and rights documentation safe.
